Education Kits

The EAGM has a series of education kits that include artefacts and unit plans that may be borrowed. Currently, the following kits are available:

    • Pioneer Kit
    • Coal Mining Kit
    • NWMP Kit
    • Andrew King Kit Wood Block Printing Kit

There are many more kits currently under development, including plans to complete an art history kit and an art techniques kit.

School & Senior Tours

Over 2500 students participate in school tours each year. School tours feature critical discussion of the artwork and a hands-on art activity, which allows the students to apply what was discussed and learned to an artwork of their own.

Each month the EAGM develops a newsletter in the form of a Teacher’s Guide which explains the current exhibits and the planned student art activity. As well, there are supplementary activities to build upon the ideas expressed by the art exhibitions and during the tours, with emphasis on cross-curriculum.

Check out the EAGM's other resources, including education kits, tools and supplies, and our new NWMP, Art History and Art Technique Borrowing Library  from the Resource Centre. (Must be a member for out of office loans)

For information on booking classes, tours or workshops please contact our Educator, Karly Millions (galleryed@sasktel.net). We provide interpretive tours of our current exhibition programming including art/craft related projects for children, youth, and adults year round
