School & Senior Tours
Over
3300 students participate in school tours each year. School tours feature
critical discussion of the artwork and a hands-on art activity, which
allows the students to apply what was discussed and learned to an artwork
of their own.
Each month the EAGM develops a Teacher’s
Guide which explains the current exhibits and the planned student art
activity. As well, there are additional activities to build upon the
ideas expressed by the art exhibitions and during the tours, with emphasis
on cross-curriculum.
As well, the EAGM has a variety of resources, including
education kits, books and a variety of lesson plans that may be borrowed
from the Resource Centre.
