Artist Receptions
The EAGM hosts receptions for exhibiting artists whenever possible. Events such as these allow visitors to meet artists and learn more about their work. The artists give a brief talk about their art practice and answer questions from the crowd. The gallery usually provides refreshments following the talk. Artist Receptions last about 2 hours, but it is not necessary to stay the whole time. There is no dress code and everyone is invited to attend. Children are also welcome to come with their families to these receptions.

The next opening is being held at the EAGM on September 27th, 2008 from 2:00 - 4:00pm.  The Edmonton-based artist group Filamenta will be in attendance.
